Two people lost their lives while another received serious injuries following a traffic collision Saturday in the Beaumont Area.
As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle accident took place at about 3:30 a.m. on Highway 60. Authorities actively responded to the scene and, on arrival, found one vehicle on its side on top of a guardrail. The early reports showed that the vehicle was going as fast as 90 mph when the incident happened.
Two people were declared dead at the scene by the officials. One person was rushed to an area hospital with serious injuries. The accident caused closure to the westbound lanes of Highway 60 from Interstate 10. No other information is available.
The crash remains under review.
