According to the Gilbert Police Department, a fatal crash was reported in Gilbert.
Officials confirmed that two people died and one person was seriously injured following the accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred to the west of Elliot and Recker Roads.
A truck was traveling westbound and tried to make a left turn.
While doing so, it struck a red passenger car.
A man and an infant inside the red car were pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck.
The driver of the car was hospitalized sustaining life-threatening injuries.
Elliot Road, where the wreck occurred, was kept closed for a few hours.
The crash remains under investigation by the GPD.
