On Tuesday, two people lost their lives following a two-vehicle accident on 215 Freeway.
As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the freeway’s northbound lanes near the Washington Street exit at approximately 1 a.m. after getting reports of a car crash. The preliminary investigation indicated that a gray Honda Civic, driven by a female driver, was going in the wrong direction when the car collided with a gray Ford Fusion, driven by a male driver.
Both the drivers succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Responders found child seats in both the vehicles, but the drivers were only occupants of the vehicles. The identities of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
