The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a two-vehicle crash on September 22, 2022 state Highway 87 at the intersection of Six Mile Village road.
The preliminary investigation suggests a 2014 Mazda passenger car failed to yield to a 2017 Kia SUV traveling south. The Kia struck the Mazda when the Mazda attempted to make a left turn onto Six Mile Village Road.
The Kia driver, Denice Emmons, 58, was transported to Sabine County hospital for injuries.
The Mazda passenger, 41-year-old Brian Williams, was also taken to the hospital.
The Mazda driver, 22-year-old Andrew Thibodeaux, was not injured in the crash.
Further details relating to the crash were not provided by the officials. The crash remains under investigation.
