According to the San Angelo Police Department, a multi-vehicle accident was reported on Tuesday.
The officials stated that a major crash happened between two vehicles at the intersection of 7th and Chadbourne at around 2:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, the officers found that a black Kia and White Chevy pickup crashed in the middle of the intersection.
Officials reported that the driver of the Chevy was transported to Shanno Hospital for treatment.
The preliminary investigation reported that the Kia crashed into the Chevy while crossing the intersection.
The driver of the Kia was cited for running the red light.
No additional information regarding the identity of the victim was revealed by the officials.
The San Angelo Police are yet to determine whether drugs or alcohol was the factor involved in the crash.
