According to the Washington State Patrol, a motor vehicle accident was reported on Interstate 5 on Friday.
The officials stated that a 35-year-old man from Federal Way and a 24-year-old man from Tacoma was killed in the crash.
A 2004 Honda Pilot was travelling south of Southcenter Boulevard when the driver lost control for unknown reasons. The vehicle rolled across all the lanes of traffic and stopped on the driver’s side in the HOV lane.
The suspect was travelling in a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado and struck the roof of the Pilot.
Both occupants were killed at the scene.
The suspect suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
The Washington State Patrol reported that drugs or alcohol were the factors involved in the crash.
