On Saturday afternoon, two people were injured following a single-vehicle crash on Moana Lane and Interstate 580.
The incident took place just after 1:20 a.m. on Moana Lane and Interstate 580. The Reno Police, Reno Fire Department, and REMSA all responded to the scene. As per the initial information, a white, Infinity G35 was traveling west on Moana Lane when it swerved off the lane and collided with several concrete barriers.
The police confirmed that all three passengers were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident. On arrival, paramedics transported the driver to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while a minor was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The other passenger remained unharmed as a result of the crash. The authorities do not believe that alcohol and speed contributed to the crash. The Reno Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T) also arrived to the scene and now handles the investigation.
An investigation is ongoing at this time.
