2 people injured after a traffic collision in southeast Austin (Austin, TX)

On Saturday morning, two people suffered injuries following a traffic accident in southeast Austin.

As per the initial information, the two-vehicle crash took place shortly before 7 a.m. near S. U.S. Highway 183 southbound and E. Riverside Drive. The preliminary investigation indicated that one vehicle ran into a ditch and one driver was unresponsive and trapped in their vehicle. On arrival, rescuers extricated the victim from the vehicle.

One person was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and the other with non-fatal injuries. Drivers were asked to expect delays in the area. No additional information has been released by the authorities.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
