2 people injured after a traffic collision in downtown Austin (Austin, TX)

On Monday morning, two scooter riders suffered injuries following a traffic collision in downtown Austin.

As per the initial information, the two-vehicle crash took place at about 1:25 a.m. at the intersection of East Eighth Street and San Jacinto Streets. The early reports showed that a scooter and another vehicle crashed into each other for undetermined reasons.

On arrival, emergency crews rushed both adult victims to a hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries. The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene after the accident. No additional information has been provided by the authorities.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
