2 people injured after a pedestrian accident on I-75 in Detroit (Detroit, MI)

On Saturday evening, two people suffered injuries after a crash in Detroit.

As per the initial information, the pedestrian accident took place on Interstate 75 freeway near Dearborn Street. Officers received report of a pedestrian on the I-75 freeway. The trooper had just arrived on the scene and was about to come out of the patrol car to talk to the pedestrian when his patrol car was rear-ended by another vehicle.

The patrol car was stopped in the right lane of the freeway with emergency lights on at that time. The officer received minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. The pedestrian also incurred minimal injuries. The driver of the vehicle that hit them remained unharmed. No other details are made available.

The crash remains under review.
