On Thursday afternoon, a head-on accident left two people seriously injured in Powell.
According to the authorities, emergency crews were called to the crash scene at the intersection of West Beaver Creek Drive near Brickyard Road. Reports revealed that one victim was pinned in their car. Knox County Rescue and AMR also responded to the area. Officials said that the driver of one car was able to get out of the vehicle while the other driver had to be removed from their car.
On arrival, paramedics transported both drivers to the trauma center with major injuries. Bystanders informed the officials that it seemed one of the vehicles had crossed the center line and hit the other car head-on. The identities of the victims remain undisclosed at this time.
The incident is under investigation.
