2 people injured after a car runs into Taco Bell in Oakley (Oakley, CA)

On Tuesday night, a 30-year-old woman and a 3-year-old child suffered injuries when their car crashed into the side of a Taco Bell in Oakley.

As per the initial information, the single-vehicle accident took place at about 7:30 p.m. The early reports showed that a 30-year-old woman was driving a vehicle with a three-year-old child in the car. Arriving officers learnt that the vehicle had slammed into a pillar of the fast food restaurant, pinning the two people inside the car.

Both the car and the building were significantly damaged due to the crash. The witness rescued the occupants from the mangled wreckage. Both the woman and toddler were airlifted to Children’s Hospital Oakland and John Muir Walnut Creek, respectively, for treatment of major injuries. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
