2 people hurt after a vehicle crashed into a tent in Tacoma (Tacoma, WA)

On Friday, two people were hurt after a vehicle ran into a tent in Tacoma.

As per the initial information, the single-vehicle crash took place in the area of 1800 South 82nd Street. The preliminary reports showed that a vehicle drifted off the roadway and struck a tent with people inside for reasons that are yet to be known.

Two people were assessed at the scene for injuries. Motorists were advised to avoid the area as crews worked at the scene. The driver of the involved vehicle was arrested, officials reported. No additional information has been provided.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
