On early Wednesday morning, a 40-year-old woman and a San Antonio police officer suffered injuries following a rear-end collision on the city’s West Side.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle crash took place a little before 6 a.m. on Highway 90 westbound, just before Cupples Road. The early reports showed that the woman’s vehicle either had stopped or was at a near stop on the roadway when it was rear-ended by an SAPD patrol vehicle also heading westbound. The vehicle had its hazard lights on, but was positioned on a hillcrest.
The woman was reportedly stable when she was transported to a local hospital. The officer had a possible concussion and was taken to an area hospital. It is unknown what was wrong with the woman’s vehicle, but officials found out that she was not intoxicated. No other details are made available.
