On Monday afternoon, two people were injured following a motor home crash in Temecula.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle accident took place at about 4:40 p.m. on the eastbound side of Highway 79 and Anza Road. The early reports showed that an RV swerved off the two-lane highway and smashed into a tree.
On arrival, emergency responders freed two occupants from the vehicle. One of them sustained critical injuries while the other received moderate injuries. Both sides of the highway between Anza and Meadows Parkway were shut down to accommodate a Reach Air helicopter.
One person was airlifted through helicopter to the hospital at 5:40 p.m. An ambulance transported the other victim to the same hospital. The identities of the injured victims have not been revealed at this time. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
