Two people sustained injuries after a fiery wreck Monday morning on the 605 Freeway in Whittier.
As per the initial information, the multi-vehicle pile-up took place on the 605 Freeway, near Washington Boulevard. The early reports showed that a vehicle was heading south on the 605 Freeway, close to Washington Boulevard when it drove into the center divider and ended up in the northbound lanes. The reports also indicated that a motorcycle and three vehicles were involved in the accident.
Authorities confirmed that two people were transported to local hospitals with unspecified injuries. The circumstances surrounding the crash were not known. Several northbound and southbound lanes were blocked, but have since reopened. No other details are available.
The wreck remains under investigation.
