2 people hospitalized after a traffic collision in Nashville (Nashville, TN)

Two people received critical injuries after a traffic collision in Nashville.

As per the initial information, the hit-and-run accident took place in the Antioch area. Crews actively responded to the intersection of Bell Road and Murfreesboro Pike just after 2 a.m. in response to two related crashes. According to the authorities, the first collision is believed to have been a hit and run that involved one vehicle that was broadsided by another vehicle.

Officers believe the driver of that crash then left the scene and led to the second crash that happened at the Bell Road and Murfreesboro Pike intersection. Two people were rushed to a local hospital in critical condition. A portion of Murfreesboro Pike and Bell Road was blocked while crews worked at the scene. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
