The Las Vegas Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash in Las Vegas on Wednesday night.
At the downtown Fremont Street Experience casino mall, the accident occurred as an SUV attempted to cross a busy street against a “don’t walk” signal.
The 44-year-old Monument, Minnesota, resident, and the 51-year-old Hobbs, New Mexico, resident were hit while crossing 4th Street.
According to police, the driver, a 28-year-old Las Vegas woman, was later detained on suspicion of DUI, reckless driving, and fleeing the scene of an accident.
The name of the victims has not been released by the police.
She is incarcerated while awaiting a court date.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the police.
