The Buckeye Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash in south Buckeye on Friday afternoon.
The accident happened on SR 85 close to milepost 141. The collision involved two vehicles.
According to DPS, one of the involved vehicles may have experienced a tire blowout prior to rolling over.
Two people are pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased victims’ identities have not been made public.
The fatal crash is being investigated. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
While authorities investigated the crash, traffic was temporarily restricted along the southbound lanes of SR-85, but the lanes have since reopened. Additional details regarding the crash are not available currently.
