2 People Died In A Hit-And-Run Crash In New Orleans (New Orleans, LA)

The Police Department reported a hit-and-run crash on Sunday.

The accident happened close to the Canal Street Exit on Interstate 10 at around 1:30 a.m.

Two men stopped in the left lane of I-10, according to NOPD officials, for an unknown reason. The 39-year-old man was standing outside a Dodge Challenger, while the unidentified man was in front of a Kia that had come to a stop.

An unknown man was struck by a black Honda CRV, which then sped away from the scene.

A Chevrolet pickup truck then squeaked between the Kia and the interstate guard rail and struck the Challenger, striking the man who was standing outside of it.

EMS transported the Chevrolet pickup truck’s occupants to the hospital, where their conditions are listed as stable.

Due to the ongoing investigation into the fatal crash, no charges have yet been brought.
