2 people dead after a wrong-vehicle collision on I-75 in Fulton County (Atlanta, GA)

On early Sunday morning, two people lost their lives following a wrong-way collision in Fulton County.

As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle crash took place on I-75 southbound at Fulton Street a little before 3 a.m. The early reports showed that a driver was heading northbound in the southbound lanes when their vehicle slammed into another vehicle.

After the initial crash, a third vehicle hit debris from the first accident. The driver of that vehicle drove away from the scene before the arrival of the officers. Authorities are looking for the driver and have not provided a description of the car.

According to the responders, two people died as a result of the collision. The identities of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. Southbound lanes were closed for multiple hours as crews worked at the scene. No further details are available.

The incident remains under investigation.
