On Saturday morning, two people lost their lives following a fiery crash in the Lower Valley.
As per the initial information, the fatal car accident took place on Interstate 10 East and Lomaland Drive at about 2:30 a.m. The early reports showed that a 2007 Subaru Impreza was traveling at a high rate of speed heading east down I-10 when the driver failed to maintain control of the vehicle.
The car flipped off the freeway onto Gateway Blvd East. The vehicle hit multiple objects on the shoulder and got erupted in flames. The two people in the car were declared dead at the scene shortly after emergency responders arrived. No further details were provided.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
