2 people dead, 3 others injured following a crash in Oxnard (Oxnard, CA)

Two people lost their lives and three others were injured following a traffic collision Wednesday night in Oxnard.

As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle accident took place in the 300 block of North Harbor Boulevard, south of Gonzales Road just after 5:30 p.m. The preliminary reports showed that the Subaru driver was traveling north on Harbor Boulevard when they lost control, swerved right onto the dirt shoulder, and left across both lanes into oncoming traffic.

The Subaru ended up colliding with a southbound Ford Explorer with four occupants. The Subaru driver and a male passenger in the Ford were pronounced dead at the scene. The Ford driver and two passengers had injuries and required hospitalization. Officials confirmed the Subaru had driven across the southbound lane. No other information is available.

The incident remains under review.
