On Monday morning, two people lost their lives following a traffic accident in Memphis.
As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle crash took place at Shelby Drive and Tchulahoma. The early reports showed that the driver lost control of their vehicle and struck a utility pole. Officials confirmed that two people were killed in the collision while a third person was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Officials closed all eastbound lanes on Shelby Drive between Tchulahoma and Getwell as crews worked at the scene. For alternate routes, drivers could go southbound on Chevron and northbound on Sugar Creek from Shelby Drive. No other details are available.
The incident remains under investigation.
