Two people received critical injuries after a crash Thursday afternoon in Oxnard.
As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle accident took place at about 4:50 p.m. on Pleasant Valley Road and Longfellow Way. The early reports showed that a vehicle with two people inside collided with a wall and then struck a palm tree.
Both of them had to be freed from the wreckage by the emergency responders. Both of the patients were then rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The identities of the victims have not been released at this time. No other details are made available.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
