2 Injured In A Motor Vehicle Accident In Martinez (Martinez, CA)

According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle accident took place on the southbound lanes of Interstate Highway 680 in Martinez on Wednesday afternoon. 

CHP Officer Adam Lane stated that two people suffered minor injuries in the collision caused by the big rig. The vehicle hit the center divider on the highway. 

According to the officials, four other vehicles were heavily damaged in the crash. 

The traffic in that direction slowed as a portion of the big rig was hanging over the divider into the northbound lanes. 

The incident took place around 7:45 a.m. on southbound Highway 680 just north of Pacheco Boulevard and all lanes reopened at around 3 p.m. 

No additional information is available regarding the collision or other casualties.
