2 Children Died In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Smith County (Smith County, TX)

The Texas Department Of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle crash in Smith County. The accident happened on State Route 64 W, southwest of Tyler at around 5:10 p.m. 

According to the preliminary investigation, Tyler resident Chasity B. Head, 32, was operating an SUV north on FM 2661. Trebias Grey, 22, of Tyler, was operating a Freightliner and was moving east on SH 64 W. There, Head was hit on the driver’s side because she did not give way to Gray’s car.

Two kids —a 12-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy—were declared dead at a Dallas hospital. Two additional minors, ages 11 and 16, were transported to Tyler hospitals in critical condition. Christopher Graham, 32, of Tyler, who was the driver and the passenger, was also taken to a Tyler hospital for treatment. Bryan Lee, 20, of Tyler, who was travelling with Grey, was unharmed in the fatal crash
