2 adults dead, 3 children injured in Catoosa County crash; Joseph Chislom faces multiple charges (Catoosa County, GA)

Two adults lost their lives and three children were injured after a T-bone crash Friday afternoon in Catoosa County while authorities arrested and charged 47-year-old Joseph Chislom of Atlanta in connection with the accident.

As per the initial information, the fatal car accident took place on Three Notch Road near Battlefield Parkway in the 3 p.m. hour. The preliminary reports showed that that a semi-truck heading west drove through a red light and T-boned an SUV with children inside. Two adults in the SUV died as a result of the wreck.

Two children who were in the SUV were rushed to the hospital, one though a helicopter. The children are currently in stable condition. Joseph Chislom, the driver of the truck, is charged with two counts of homicide by vehicle in the second degree, driving too fast for conditions and failure to obey a traffic signal. No other details are available.

An investigation is continuing.
