19-year-old Jeremiah Weekes dead after a single-car crash in DeKalb County (DeKalb County, GA)

On early Monday morning, 19-year-old Jeremiah Weekes and his dog died following a single-vehicle accident in DeKalb County.

As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place on Flat Shoals Road near Rockdale Drive at about 1 a.m. in Decatur. The early reports revealed that the driver failed to maintain control of his car while navigating a curve and hit a utility pole.

The teen suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. His dog was also in the car at the time of the collision and was killed. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
