19-Year-Old Injured In A Multi-Vehicle Accident in Whatcom County (Whatcom County, WA)

According to the Washington State Patrol, a multi-vehicle accident was reported on Sunday night. 

The incident occurred after a white 2017 Volkswagen Jetta crashed involving a deer on the left southbound lane of I-5 at about 9:30 p.m.

The occupants of the Jetta were out of the vehicle when another vehicle struck causing a second collision. 

According to the statement by the WSP, a white 2010 Toyota Corolla crashed into the Volkswagen Jetta. The Toyota rolled over the Volkswagen, pushing the vehicle to the right shoulder. 

The officials stated that a 19-year-old passenger in the Toyota was rushed to the PeaceHealth St. Joseph’s Medical Center with injuries. 

The Whatcom County Jail has booked Dylan Matthew Ferry, 20, driver of the Toyota,  for driving under the influence. The WSP has suspended the driver’s license following charges of suspicion of vehicular assault and 3rd-degree driving.
