A fatal crash on Interstate 75 involving a pedestrian has prompted an investigation by the Dayton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The incident occurred on Sunday, April 14, at 8:50 p.m. in Butler Township.
According to preliminary findings, a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Kathleen Thompson, 73, of Dayton, and a 2014 Cadillac Escalade driven by Morgan Felger, 31, of Waynesville, were both traveling south on I-75.
Tragically, David Satkowski, 19, of Lapeer, Michigan, attempted to cross the interstate from the east to the west and was struck by both vehicles in the middle lanes. Satkowski succumbed to his injuries at the scene, as confirmed by the media release. The investigation into this fatal crash continues.
