The Washington State Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident in Grant County on Friday. The accident occurred at the Pivot at the Gorge Campground. The time of the collision is not yet known.
According to the officials, a man was running alongside a boat trailer when he tried to jump onto the tongue of the trailer. He, unfortunately, lost his balance and fell to the ground. This resulted in the trailer running over him.
The man was critically injured and flown to Confluence Health Hospital Central Campus in Wenatchee for treatment. He succumbed to his injured and was pronounced dead. The officials have since identified him as 19-year-old Carson Santos.
The fatal crash is still being investigated. The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and cooperated. There are no other details available at this time.
