Tragedy struck in Surprise as a fatal crash claimed the lives of two sisters, identified as 19-year-old Bea Cueto, and 20-year-old Althea Cueto. The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday, on Deer Valley Road near Grand Avenue.
The suspect, driving a pickup truck, crashed into the sisters’ sedan. The sisters were both fatally injured and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the multi-vehicle accident, Surprise police conducted a field sobriety test on the pickup truck driver and obtained a blood sample.
Currently, the driver has been released from police custody. The decision to press charges and make an arrest will hinge on the results of the blood sample analysis.
