A fatal crash in Kings County caused an 18-year-old woman to lose her life in a collision involving a semi-truck. The multi-vehicle accident occurred at 6:15 a.m. on Monday at the intersection of Highway 43 and Pickerell Avenue in Corcoran.
According to a witness statement provided to the California Highway Patrol, the young woman ran a stop sign, precipitating the crash. The semi-truck driver made efforts to evade the Mercury, but both vehicles ultimately ended up on the shoulder post-collision.
Regrettably, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, though her identity remains undisclosed at this time. The officials have not disclosed any details regarding the present state of the other driver.
