18-Year-Old Passenger Died In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Vancouver (Vancouver, WA)

The Vancouver Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Sunday night. The accident happened in the 3000 block of Columbia Way at around 9 p.m. 

The collision involves only one vehicle. The driver, a 21-year-old man, was driving a car and crashed into a tree in southeast Columbia Way. 

An 18-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was thrown from the vehicle and taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, according to the police. The name and identity of the victim have not been made public by the authorities.

According to investigators, the crash may have been caused by speeding and alcohol. There is a 30 mph posted speed limit there. The Traffic Unit of the Vancouver Police Department is still looking into the fatal crash.
