According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, a fatal crash was reported on Thursday morning in Thousand Oaks. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred in the creek along Hillcrest, west of Citation Way. The driver of a vehicle was going westbound when the vehicle suddenly left the roadway. Subsequently, the vehicle went through a chain-link fence and fell into the watershed.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Insights including the identity of the driver are yet to be released.
The cause of the collision is pending determination. The crash continues to be investigated by the VCSO.
