A fatal crash occurred on Thursday night on Spur 228, claiming the life of an 18-year-old man, identified as Joseph Hunter Kiliewer. Around 10 p.m., officers responded to the collision involving two vehicles at 605 Spur 228. 

The red Toyota sedan, driven by Kiliewer, was traveling south on Spur 228 when the driver lost control. This caused the car to skid sideways into oncoming traffic. Simultaneously, a grey Nissan sedan was travelling north on Spur 228. The front of the Nissan collided with the passenger side of the Toyota.

Tragically, Kiliewer was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Nissan’s occupants suffered life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital. Investigations into the multi-vehicle accident are underway.
