A tragic three-vehicle collision occurred on State Highway 79 between Henderson and New Summerfield. It resulted in the killing of 18-year-old Jonathan E. Holland and Addison L. Shepard, 10.
The multi-vehicle accident unfolded around 5:30 p.m. when Holland, travelling eastbound in a Chevrolet Silverado, slowed down to make a left turn. Brianne Nicole Shutter, behind Holland in a Jeep Wrangler, failed to control her speed and rear-ended the Silverado.
The fatal crash forced the pickup into the westbound lane, where it was struck by a Ram 2500 pickup towing a trailer.
The fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
