According to the Westminster Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Thursday in Westminster. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred at Westminster Boulevard and Rancho Road. The driver of a vehicle with three passengers onboard crashed into barricades.
The driver was identified as 19-year-old Jayson Otto. Out of the three passengers, one person was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The deceased person’s identity was revealed as 18-year-old Jayda Jean.
The two other 16-year-old and 17-year-old passengers were rushed to the hospital sustaining injuries. Drugs and alcohol are suspected to have been involved in the collision.
The crash continues to be investigated by the WPD.
