A tragic collision claimed the life of an 18-year-old Celina teen, Ethan Brunswick, early Thursday morning in Auglaize County, Ohio.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Wapakoneta post, Brunswick’s vehicle struck a turning tanker truck at the intersection of U.S. 33 and Bay Road in Moulton Township. His passenger, Gage Stein, 19, also from Celina, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital.
The crash occurred when Brunswick’s Honda Accord collided with the rear of a Kenworth tanker driven by Shane Thomason, 51, of Lima. Both occupants of the Honda were ejected upon impact. The incident is under investigation by authorities, with multiple agencies assisting at the scene.
