The Washington State Patrol reported a single-vehicle crash in Spokane on Saturday morning. The collision involved only one vehicle. The accident happened on Interstate 90 about ten miles east of Ritzville around 5:30 a.m. according to the Washington State Patrol.
A Gonzaga student, identified as 18-year-old Diego Garza of Lakewood, was killed in a car crash. Garza was a junior in his first year at Gonzaga and was majoring in business administration, according to President McCulloch’s email.
It is unsure what caused the crash. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials. Additional information regarding the crash is not available currently.
