Anderson County personnel reported that a local singer, Devany Betancourt died in a car crash that took place on Tuesday night.
Preliminary investigations reveal that Betancourt was a passenger in a vehicle, that attempted to make a left turn onto ACR 3051. The driver did not yield the right of way for a vehicle driving in that path.
In a press release issued by Anderson County authorities, the second vehicle proceeded to strike the vehicle on the passenger side where Betancourt was seated.
An investigation into the crash is still underway.
