The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle collision that took the life of an 18-year-old in Nevada County on Sunday. The accident occurred at around 4:00 a.m. on Highway 20, near South Ponderosa Way, west of Grass Valley,
According to the officials, a single vehicle was involved in the collision. An 18-year-old was driving when he left the road suddenly. That led to the vehicle flipping over and eventually hitting a tree. The 18-year-old was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
