According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Friday in Los Angeles. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on the 7100 block of Lankershim Boulevard. The deceased person was identified as 18-year-old Jonathan Abrego. Abrego was struck by an Amtrak train.
As a result of this, he was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Other insights pertaining to the crash are yet to be released. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
