According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle accident occurred in Stanislaus County on Saturday. The crash happened south on Coffee Road.
According to the investigators, a gray pickup and two unknown people were involved in the collision. The pickup driver traveled at a high rate of speed into a parking lot on the other side and hit a tree.
An 18-year-old Alejandra Ortiz Acho was identified as the pickup driver who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the reports, it is unclear what caused the crash and if drugs or alcohol were a factor involved.
The accident is still being investigated at this time. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
