Multiple passengers were ejected from the SUV due to the impact. One of the passengers, 17-year-old Toyionna Gibbs, of Grand Rapids, was thrown from the car and died at the scene.
On arrival, first responders rushed the driver, a 20-year-old woman from Grand Rapids, to the hospital with critical injuries.
