17-Year-Old Killed In A Motor Vehicle Accident In League City (League City, TX)

The League City Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday. The accident occurred in the 1100 block of the S Gulf Freeway feeder road at around 4:35 a.m. 

According to the officials, a vehicle was driving down the freeway at a high speed when it lost control. The vehicle then left the roadway before crashing into a power pole and then a light pole. 

Three teenagers were present in the vehicle at the time of the collision. Two of them were thrown from the vehicle while one remained. All three were critically injured and rushed to a hospital. The driver of the vehicle, a 17-year-old boy, succumbed to his injries and was pronounced dead. The other two are in critical condition. 

The fatal crash is still being investigated.
