According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Saturday in San Jacinto. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Highway 79. The vehicle rolled over on the roadway. The events leading up to the crash are not entirely clear at this time.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as 17-year-old Jacob Parish. Parish was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck.
Two other passengers were rushed to the hospital sustaining injuries. The cause of the accident is yet to be determined. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
