The Visalia Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash that claimed the life of a 17-year-old girl in Visalia on Saturday. The accident occurred on Riggin Avenue, west of Shirk Street.
Roughly at 9:00 p.m., the 17-year-old girl was driving east on Riggin when she was hit by another vehicle. The girl was critically injured and was immediately transported to the hospital where she was declared dead later.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
