The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) is probing a tragic rollover crash that claimed the life of a teenager early Saturday morning. According to a press release, a truck traveling south on State Route 193 around 3:30 a.m. veered off the left side of the road, striking a ditch, and subsequently rolling over multiple times.
Neither of the teenagers inside the truck was wearing seat belts, leading to their ejection from the vehicle. Austin S. Pal, 17, of Ashtabula, succumbed to his injuries, while the other teenager was hospitalized and later airlifted to another medical facility with serious injuries.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
